...When in Hell Page 10

Luce turns, looking between the seats that we sit in as he tracks them. Glancing over his shoulder. “Left,” he says, nearly directly into my ear. “Next light, another left, and then you’ll see the gate. Just pull up through it. The plane is waiting.” I just nod my head as I quickly turn left. The first shot hits the back window, nearly shattering it. Flinching as I press the pedal down. Luce spins around in his seat and rolls down the passenger side window, leaning out, and pulling the trigger back at them several times. “Fuck.” He mutters, glancing over at me, and I’m sure my eyes are wide as fuck. He nods towards me and I pull left, now being able to see the gate that we need to make it through. They fired more shots back towards the car.

Glancing back over at him, I gasp. “You’re shot.” It’s nearly a whisper as he just nods back to me.

“I’ll be fine.” He pushes back out the window and pulls the trigger a few more times. Sliding the clip out of the gun, he replaces it.

“Where do you keep extra clips?” I yell at him, causing him to laugh as he looks over and it shocks me he looks completely fucking relaxed.

“Oh, Little Girl. I have so much to teach you.” I can see danger in his eyes as he looks back to me, and I know that something between us is changing as much as either of us may not want it to be.

Sliding the car through the gate. “Come on,” he nods to me, grabbing my bag out of the backseat as he starts to turn. Reaching under the seat quickly looking for what I had stashed under here when I hear the squealing tires sliding near us. “Shit, Nyx, stay in the car.” He calls out to me as he slams the door. There’s yelling coming from outside and I hear the gunfire a few more times.

Right now, this second would be the perfect moment to escape. I can just slip away without anyone knowing. Or I can just move the car and leave the tarmac completely. I glance over to where Luce is still firing the gun at the men. I move the shifter back into drive, but I hesitate for a second, something about the look in his eye when he was just talking to me. Shaking off the feeling that I was just having over Luce, when the shots stop all together. Looking over my shoulder, I see that both of the last men standing have tossed aside the guns and are now throwing punches. Landing blows to one another.

“No!” I gasp as I see the blade slide up from the other man’s pocket and up to slice at Luce’s arm, barely dodging out of the way. I’m already out of the car. I’m moving across the tarmac to where Luce and the unknown man are fighting.

Running towards them, I watch as the men with their backs towards me grapple with one another as the unknown man lands one punch to Luce, who then falls to the ground.

He stands over Luce as he laughs, “That’s right, asshole. You can’t come into my city, fucking kill one of my men, and expect to leave. I don’t give a fuck who you are.” He spits at him. “I don’t care if you run the East. I don’t care if you know him. This is my territory—,”

“Why can’t we all just play nicely?” I ask, cutting him off as he slowly turns and looks at me. I let a smile form on my face as I pull the trigger on my outstretched arm, with the gun that I had hidden under my seat. His face turns from surprised to shock as his head slowly falls backwards and I watch brain matter come out, splashing onto the tarmac. Luce actually flinches as the trigger sounds and he looks at me as the man falls to the ground.

“Fuck, Nyx. What have you done?” He snaps at me.

“What?” I look at him in disbelief I just fucking saved his life, and he’s going to get mad at me? “I just fucking saved—,”

“No,” he cuts me off as he jumps to his feet, and looks at the men that lay out around us. “You didn’t. I had it.” He steps towards me. “I told you to stay in the fucking car.” He grunts. “Go wait on the plane.”

“What?” I shout at him, waving the gun around in the air.

Gripping onto my arm , snatching the gun from my hand, he looks at me. “Go. Wait. On the plane.”

  “Why?”

“Because I’ve got to clean up your mess.” I watch him in disbelief as he picks up one man, tossing him into the SUV. “What?” He snaps at me.

  ❖

  Luce

This fucking woman. I just keep repeating in my head.

“Why is it so hard for you to admit that I saved your fucking life?” She shouts at me, gripping on to my shoulder, as she turns to look at her.

“Because you didn’t. What you did is just fucking signed your death warrant. Do you know who that is?” She still looks confused as she slowly shakes her head. “That’s Arlo Javier’s nephew.” Her eyes widen. “You know who that is?” I ask her as she nods her head again. “Also his Lieutenant. His right-hand man. Was his second in command until he took over this territory.” I step into her. “Fuck, Nyx. You do not know what you have just done.” I look into her eyes and she actually lets the fear show through them. Sighing, I lift my hand, running my knuckles along her jaw, lowering my voice slightly. “We’ll figure it out. Go wait on the plane.” I tell her before I turn around and heave up the second man, tossing him into the SUV as well.

As I turn around, I nearly fucking laugh out as I see Nyx attempting to lift one man by herself. “What are you doing?” I ask, walking over.

“Helping clean up my mess.” She grunts over to me. Purposefully hiding my smirk, I walk over. I nudge her out of the way, as I lift the man she was poorly pulling at shoulders trying to move. She glares up at me as I shake my head.

“Grab his legs.” I nod toward his feet.

“I don’t want to grab his legs.” She snaps back at me as she walks around, grabbing at his legs.

“His torso is heavier.” I explain to her.

  “I can handle it.”

“Oh, I am very aware that you can handle it. Just fucking grab his legs.” I finally snap back, growing tired of her shit now. Even if she’s somehow fucking insatiable.

After we hoist him into the car, I then look over to her as we deal with Arlo’s nephew. “Why don’t you move the car?”

“Just leave it.” She shrugs at me.

“They can figure out who it belongs to.”

  “It doesn’t have a VIN.”

“What? You stole it?” I laugh out, looking at her.

“No,” she shrugs as she walks over to Arlo’s nephew and grabs at his feet as well. “I just had the VIN number taken off.” I slowly shake my head in disbelief as we both lift him up.

  “It’s all over the car.”

“I know.” She looks up at me as if I’ve lost my mind for questioning her.

“Okay, well we need to get rid of the gun.” I tell her.

“We’ll leave it. Wipe it down.”

  “What?”

“There’s no serial number.” She shrugs. “And it’s never been involved in a shooting… or not while I’ve had it.” We place him in the passenger seat of the SUV. She takes the gun out and, using her shirt, she wipes the gun down before reaching into the backseat and clasping one man’s hand around it. Jogging over to her car, I strike a match and toss it inside before coming back over and doing the same to the SUV. “Is there not a pilot on here?” She asks.

“No, there is. I just pay them a lot of money to not see anything.” She just slowly nods her head.

If this was the first time that I had met Nyx I would be surprised that she just shot a man in the head and isn’t even phased, but since I know her well enough, since she has not only held a gun on myself but sliced my face open, I’m not at all surprised.

  This woman knows no fear.

  Chapter 10

  Luce

When the SUV pulls up next to the plane. “Where the fuck were you guys?” I snap at them as all three of them look away.

“Sorry, boss.” Gunner mumbles, “They got the slip on us.” I say nothing, just slowly turn around before Nyx’s voice catches me off guard.

“Fucking seriously?” She shouts, turning around and I look at her, noticing that she’s watchi
ng her car fully engulfed in flames.

“Get on the plane.” I snarl at her.

“You have to set everything on fire?” She yells, as the men look away quickly.

“I said get on the plane.” Turning my head, I grit through my teeth at her.

“I can help finish everything out here.” She groans as I see Blaine smirk before he turns his head, knowing well enough to not laugh in my face about her openly defying me. Grabbing a hold of the back of her neck, spinning her around with me, I push her up the steps.

“Do not disobey me in front of people.” I grunt into her ear as I push her through the plane. I’m not sure how I know when she rolls her eyes at me, but I do. “Stop rolling your fucking eyes at me, Lilith.”

“Why Lucifer?” There’s a very predatory feeling that comes over me when she calls me Lucifer. Especially after finding her in Canada and her pseudonym. It’s like she’s claimed me as hers with the name and I’m not sure why I like that feeling so much. Spinning her around, I look her in the eyes as I walk her backwards into the private room. She smirks as she pulls away from me and moves towards the door, opening it. It’s almost as if as soon as the door is closed we are back in the bubble that was in her bedroom in her Chicago apartment.

“Let me look at your arm.” She whispers as she walks over to me with a towel in her hand.

“It’s fine. I’ll have someone look at it when we land.”

“Luce, we don’t want it to get infected.” She cocks her head to the side. I can’t help but laugh with her throwing back my words I used so long ago on her, before I sigh and unbutton my shirt. Slipping my arm out of it.

“The bullet is still in there.” She whispers before getting up and walking back into the bathroom. When she emerges, she has tweezers in her hand and she smirks up at me. “This is going to fucking hurt.” She whispers to me. “Scoot back.” Her smirk widens and I do as she says. Possibly, for the first time in my adult life, I let someone else take a little control. Something changed when she was driving us here, and I can’t quite explain it.

“What are you doing?” I ask her as she straddles my lap, and she laughs.

“Shh, trust the process. Close your eyes. Lean onto your left arm.” She whispers as she grinds her hips against me. I can’t help but let out a heavy breath. Hesitating for a second and she laughs again. “I will not pull a gun on you this time.”

“Why aren’t you?” I ask her. “You’re coming awfully willingly right now.”

“Third time's the charm.” She laughs, and I open one eye looking at her questioning. She pulls her mouth to the side as she looks at me, and I can tell she’s about to break. “Fine, close ‘em.” She demands, so I do so. She continues to grind her hips and talks. “I was planning on running.” She admits, and I cock my head for a second. “I could have made a break for it when we got here and they pulled up, but when I went to do just that I looked over and thought you were in trouble.” Her voice is quiet and I open my eyes just as she says. “Ha, got it.” And lifts the small bullet out of my arm with the tweezers.

“You didn’t want me hurt?” I ask her and she shakes her head as her hips stop, but she doesn’t move to get off of me.

“No, more like I didn’t want you to die.” She laughs. “I would feel bad.” I don’t stop staring at her and she locks eyes with me. “Why was there blood on your hands earlier?” She speaks in a whisper, as if she talks too loud that everything will be ruined. I feel a tightening in my chest and I’m not sure what to make of it. I think it’s best if I don’t think of it.

“I watched him get aggressive with you tonight.” I finally confess to her. I don’t have to tell her who. She just nods knowing that it was the man at the end of her shift.

“What did you do?” It’s barely a whisper and I can watch as her brain registers what I did.

“I left him in the alley behind the club. My men weren’t really following us. They were supposed to be, but they were cleaning up the body, making sure that he wasn’t following us.” Gripping her arms, I pull her into me. Smashing her lips to mine. Pulling back, she looks at me, “Just shut up.” Shaking my head as her lips pull up in a smile.

“I’m glad, it’s not just me.”

“I told you, shut up.” I glare at her. She talks again until I grip onto her, stand up, spinning us around and pushing her into the mattress. “Don’t say anything. You’ll ruin it.” I whisper into her ear before I reach down, unbuttoning her pants, slipping them down her legs.

  “I’ll ruin it, huh?”

“Your mouth, yes, you’ll ruin it.” I laugh at her, leaning onto my arm before I wince, having forgotten for a second about the bullet that she just took out of my arm. “Ugh,” grunting, she smirks up to me, nudging me to the side. “Don’t-,” I’m surprised when I hear my voice sounding almost pleading with her.

“Shh,” she whispers to me before she rolls me over onto my back, straddling me. “You’ll ruin it.” She smirks down at me.

“I’ll ruin it?” Cocking my eyebrow at her.

“Yes, you’ll ruin your whole Alpha-Don persona, which will kind of kill the vibe, for me.” She laughs.

  “Alpha-Don, huh?”

“Whatever you prefer to call yourself.”

“Whatever you want to call me, Little Girl.” Her eyes light up at the name and she smirks as she leans into me and presses her mouth to mine again, grinding her pussy against me. She stands up, reaching down to my pants and unzips them, slipping them down my legs, followed by my boxers and she smirks up to me before she sinks to her knees. My eyes roll back into the back of my head at the anticipation.

“I figure, I may owe you something.” Her husky voice tells me as I glance down. “Shh, lie back.” She smirks, so I follow her words. My eyes snap open when I feel the cold metal against my skin again. Starting to shove her off of me, instantly kicking myself for letting her get the best of me, yet again.

That is, until I feel the warmth of her mouth on my shaft contrast the cold metal against my nuts and I groan. Reaching up, weaving my fingers into her hair as she continues to stroke over me with her mouth as the gun barrel is still pressing into me.

Is it wrong that I find this so fucking hot?

“Aw, come here.” Reaching down and lifting her up to come back up, straddling me. This time my cock pressing hard against her. The only thing stopping me from entering her is the sheer fabric of her panties.

“Yes, Sir.” She smirks at me.

“You better be careful with that, Little Girl.”

“I’ll be careful, Sir.” She tests me. Slowly just shaking my head to her as I reach down and rip her panties off. “That was rude.” She smirks.

“I’ll show you rude.” Reaching up and gripping hard onto her face, my fingers and thumb pressing into the sides of her cheeks, pulling her back to me. “Give me the gun.” I whisper to her, letting go of her face. She hands me the gun, and I smirk at her. Lifting the barrel and pressing it underneath her chin, just as I had done in Toronto. “Now, impale yourself on it.” Her eyes widen as she bites down onto her lip and does just as I told her too. Feeling her warmth surrounding me, I groan out, still with the gun pressed underneath her chin. The smile on her face spreads, telling me she may be just as fucked up as I am.

She moves herself up to her feet as she lifts herself almost all the way off of my cock, before she slides back down onto it. The moan echoes from both of us as I feel the tip of my cock slam against her womb.

Not being able to help myself, I pull her to me, dropping the gun from my hand, and smashing her lips to my own. Flipping her over so that she is underneath me, I pump into her.

“Holy fuck,” she groans out as her head tilts back and I see a couple of droplets of blood from my arm trickle onto her chest, fueling me further. I can feel her pussy clenching around me as it pulsates and I know she’s edging towards her release.

So, I stop completely. Pulling out of her, I lean over,
pulling my pants up and make my way to the door to leave the private room.

“Wh-What are you doing?” She breathes heavily towards me.

Smirking to myself, but letting it fall off my face before I turn around and look at her. She’s lying on the side of the bed right where I was. Her legs spread, completely naked, as she looks up at me. Walking back across the room over to her and leaning over her body, I whisper into her. “Teaching you a lesson.”

“What lesson?” A bratty smirk stuck on her face.

“That you don’t get to cum when you disobey.”

  “I don’t belong to you.”

“Little Girl, how wrong you are about that.” Her eyes light up as I say it and I can see her trying to hide her smirk. “Don’t you see how easily you give yourself over to me, every time? Don’t you feel how your body craves me?” Pushing her knees apart as I step in between them and lean into her further. “Whether you like it or not, your body belongs to me.” I whisper to her before she grips ahold of the back of my neck and pulls me back to her, pressing her lips to mine and grinding her hips into mine.

“Luce…” She moans out my name. “If my body is yours, then use it like it is.” Pulling back, I cock my eyebrow at her before I quickly drop my pants and slam back into her, causing her to moan out quickly.

“Are you going to behave?” I ask her as a sly smirk spreads on her face and she shakes her head. “Then I’ll just have to punish you for it.” Cock my eyebrow again. She laughs.

“You can try to punish me. But I like the punishment.” Then she slaps me. Now, slightly irritated, I grab her wrists and hold them over her head as I pump my hips into her. Almost as if I’m trying to fuck all the aggression from her just hitting me out of me. Then she fucking giggles.

“Oh, you think that’s funny.” With a wide, shitty smirk, she nods her head. “You are going to test every ounce of patience I have, aren’t you?” she nods her head again making me laugh. “I’m going to have to get my discipline in order, won’t I?”
